enlisted at Windsor, Conn.; also Reuben, Seth, Levi and other brothers. 1771, April
21--Ebenezer was one of twenty-three men ----"alarm party" under the command of
Captain Nathaniel Hayden--who were first in Suffield to respond to the call of
"liberty" in the Revolutionary War, as copied from the original pay list signed
by each member.. They left Windsor, Conn., about April 21, 1771, and the receipt is
resigned July 17, 1775, which is probably about the time of their return. 1777, April
3--Ebenezer re-enlisted for the war in Captain Prior's company from Windsor. His brothers,
Levi and Seth, joined April 7, 1777, in Colonel Cook's regiment, Captain Wadsworth's
company. 1777, April 21--Ebenezer was discharged from the Revolutionary War. He
served at the battle of Lexington. Levi and Seth were discharged Nov. 3, 1777, from
Simsbury, Conn. Reuben and Phineas, the other brothers from Simsbury, served in the the
"alarm party" and enlisted May 18, in Company 10th, and were discharged Dec. 17,
1775. Reuben Woolworth of the eighteenth regiment of Captain Forward's company, arrived at
New York, a prisoner, August 24, was discharged September 15, and September 23, 1776, was

Reuben Wolworth--From the
Town of Simsbury--served in Captain Zaacheus Gillet's company at the
Lexington Alarm List, 10th Company, Enlisted May 13, Discharged December
17, No of Days of Service was 1.--- (Source: Record of Service of
Connecticut Men--I. War of the Revolution, Hartford, 1889.) Then served in the 10th Company General Spencer's Second Connecticut
Regiment. He was at the Siege of Boston, Mass. and apparently at the Battle
of Bunker Hill on June 17, 1775. This service was from May 13th to
December 17, 1775. He also served in Captain Joseph Forward's
Company, Connecticut Eighteenth Regiment which was at the Siege of New York
City. His unit arrived at New York on August 24, 1776 and he was made
a prisoner by British troops about September 15th, and was released on Sept.
26?, and discharged Dec. 17, 1776. Enlisted in Captain Enoch Shepard's
Company, Colonel John Mosley's Regiment in response to the Bennington Alarm,
on August 17, and was discharged on August 23, 1777--(Source: Record

for his brother Thaddeous and received honorable discharge. He never received the
pension he was due. When he presented his discharge papers in Albany to he agent, he
was told there was no more money and he must wait for another appropriation to be
